Two exciting events coming up!
Saturday, May 16, 2009
Hello my lovely B01s.

I got two events for you wondering if you'd like to attend.

Firstly, for those of you who have a facebook account, there's this upcoming event. Children's Society - Walk for our Children 2009.

(Don't bother zooming cos it won't help.)

From what I know, the event is organised by The Singapore Children's Society. And these are the details:

Venue: CHINESE GARDEN
When: 26 JULY 2009
Time: 8.30 am - 1pm
Purpose: Promote family togetherness, healthy living as well as to raise fund for our charity.

You can be volunteers in which you are awarded CIP points or you can be one of their registered walkers in which you entitled to a free T-shirt (pre-distributed before event) *While Stocks Last basis.

If you are interested, you can contact Ms Iris Tan @
email: wstan@childrensociety.org.sg
phone: 62732010

(Pls respond by 5 June 2009)

Second event, I got this email from the Leo Club. They are organising an Annual Community Service Overseas Trip‏.

This trip serves as a get together trip for everyone, also as a platform for us to source out potential student leaders among you all. You will have approximately 10 programmes to choose from for this trip, each with a different group leader.
But seriously, we are hoping to get to know most of you and source members we can trust to participate in future event (:

Other key objectives of this event is:
1) To interact with the Malaysian Leos
2) To gain exposure of skills in community service through demonstration from our overseas counterparts.
3) To realize and hear the difference in community work in Malaysia
4) To expose ourselves to a wider range of practical experiences from community service in a different cultural setting
5) To have fun and bond with everyone!

Bottomline, I thought this would be a great opportunity for us to bond with each other and at the same time make new friends. :D

Details are as follows:

This 15th to 17th of JUNE (Monday to Wednesday), we are going to KL (that's Kuala Lumpur in case you do not know)
Cost: 168.00 SGD
Accomodation: 3 Star Hotel @ Bukit Bintang District INCLUSIVE OF BUFFET BREAKFAST
Travel: 28 seater Coach (big seats!!), to and return

Note:
Currently, we have 100 available slots for this trip, but are willing to increase the number to accommodate everyone.
A reminder: This event is open for non-Leo members too! Ask your friends along if they wish to!

If anyone of you are interested please inform me (by next week) or you can inform the organizer themselves @ cca_leo@np.edu.sg

Cheers,
Lat.
